I bought two 26" bikes without suspension to take places in my airplane. My wife and I just 'test-drove' the new arrangement this past weekend, going for a $100 hamburger, literally, in Maniwaki QC. The bikes fit fine in the back seat of my Sundowner, leaving lots of room for luggage in the baggage compartment (next time when we go to a B&B!). The bikes were very easy to fold and unfold, maybe 30 seconds each, and we had a great burger, fries, and coffee at a restaurant we otherwise could not have accessed.

The bikes are very intelligently made - they are very well-constructed, ride very stably and comfortably, and have decent components. The brakes work very well, and having 15 speeds makes for easy work on the ups and downs. The frame shows no sign at all of any flex. The rear derailleur is likely Shimano's cheapest, and this shows - the gear changing is not as crisp and reliable as I'd like, but overall this is a no-compromise bike for this application. The smaller 20" bikes would fit in the baggage compartment, but it's worth the extra folded size to have a real full-size bike! Both bikes fit in the baggage section of my small SUV, and there's no worry about getting them wet or stolen.

Seriously, after owning an airplane for years, this is the single best thing you can buy :).
